Marisa de la Torre - LIM College

Marisa always knew how much she loved shopping, but it wasn’t until her favorite retailers started changing their strategies that she realized she wanted to have a say in those changes. “The buying and planning field is ever-changing,” Marisa wrote in her scholarship essay. “Customers who shop in stores are not necessarily the same customers who are shopping online. I’d like to be a buyer and planner that has to research and account for these differences.” Through her retail career, Marisa would like to give back to the community by donating money to the local school district to fund their arts and music programs.
