Ray M. Greenly Scholarship

Ray Greenly was Vice President of Research and Member Services for Shop.org, a division of the National Retail Federation, before losing a year-long fight with cancer in the fall of 2005. Never one to demand the spotlight, Ray was the kind of person everyone wants on their team: patient, witty, and always willing to go the extra mile. Ray's spirit lives on in the NRF Foundation’s Ray M. Greenly Scholarship Fund, which was established to provide financial support to students pursuing a retail career in any field including marketing, operations, merchandising, logistics, IT, analytics, and dozens of others.

Students who receive the Ray M. Greenly Scholarship are chosen by faculty members at NRF Foundation university partner schools as future retail industry leaders who demonstrate a solid work ethic, embrace change and innovation, display a clear enthusiasm for retail, thrive in a team environment, and possess the highest moral character.

Each recipient, nominated based on their high scholastic achievements and passion for retail, will receive a $5,000 scholarship to cover educational costs and a stipend to attend Shop.org's Annual Summit in September.

The Spring 2013 Ray M. Greenly scholarship application is now available. Only applications submitted through a NRF Student Association (NRFSA) advisor will be considered (contact the Student Programs Coordinator for more information on your NRFSA advisor). The deadline for a NRFSA advisor to submit an application is April 19, 2013.
